Stormcaster by Cinda Williams Chima releases tomorrow
Sometimes I wish new books weren't released on a Tuesday. It's hard to clear your schedule of all the grownup things you have to do to make time for what you want to do ... and for me, that's READ.
So tomorrow, Stormcaster is released. It's part of the Shattered Realms series. The first two books in the series, Shadowcaster and Flamecaster, are back out of the cloud and downloaded on my Kindle. Since it's been awhile and there have been a zillion books since then, I really need to read them again to make sure that I remember all the nuances of the Seven Realms' world. (Unfortunately, life got in the way and I wasn't able to do that in time to be able to devour Stormcaster tomorrow.)
I've read most of Williams' books and adore her characters and world-building. I think I missed the last couple of her Heir series (The Enchanter Heir, The Sorcerer's Heir, etc.) but her stories about Han and Raisa in the Seven Realms books (The Demon King, The Gray Wolf Throne, The Exiled Queen and The Crimson Crown) are just about my favorite series of all time. Han is the most swoon-worthy character ever. Seriously.
The Shattered Realms series continues the story from Seven Realms, but a generation later. There is some heartbreak from the original series, which completely gutted me. But that just shows the power of Williams writing that I can care so much about a character.
I look forward to checking back in once I've read Stormcaster.
Happy Reading.
